ok, so a friend of mine blew his HG up. we changed it and I am 99% sure we did everything right. Now when we start his engine, it shakes like crazy and we can't figure out why....
I ve checked the cranksahft and it seems alright....now I told him to bring it to the shop cause maybe some parts bent when it overheated...
any ideas ?
thx a lot

Do you have a vacuum gauge, if so what does it read? I'm with Terry that the timing is probably off, did it just happen after you finished or did it do it at all before? Have you checked compression?

Have you checked timing since you ran the motor? Double checking it before the motor runs is just to be sure you can start the motor. If you fire it up and it idles like a Harley, then it's pretty safe to say your timing didn't stick. Either you didn't torque the tensioner down enough or the tensioner is taking a shit on you (been there - done that).
If the car idles fine, but the engine literally shakes around, it could be a motor mount with issues; missing bolt, rotted-out dampner.
Double check these things. I know it sucks to have to pull it apart to check timing again, but the way you describe this, it's got timing written all over it.
