About 2 inches inside of the brake booster vacuum line there is something metal, I have no idea what it is, but I need to extend the line, so I was just going to replace the whole thing... do I need that same metal thing inside of my new line? Thanks.

The interesting part to that check valve is not all years had them. Basically your lucky to have one, turbo guys can benefit from one in the event you need to brake immediatly when in boost (emergency stop).

What would be the best way to extend that line? I went to a local parts store tonight, and they sent me home with some free fuel line, but the good thing about that is that it is reinforced, much like the brake booster line. It's just not as hard, perhaps being due to the brake booster line being nearly 10 years old, is it still useable? And can I run just the fuel line without that pressure valve in it? and how would it change my braking performance? Thanks again.
