okay. when i go to start my car, most of the time it'll crank for a good 10-20 seconds. then it'll stutter and most of the time go strong after that. other times it dies, but then i'll turn the engine back over, and it starts right up. ??? then, every once in a while, i'll downshift to come to a stop, and when i depress the clutch, the rpm's either almost drop to zero, or the engine dies. this part doesn't hardly ever happen.

Why do you have a missing link if you aren't turbo?

yes the missing link is a bitch sometimes. Search the forum, I know this topic has been covered before and I know that a bad "filter/diaphragm" will cause your car to die after few seconds or at a more specific rmp. I heard people use cigarette filter or backseat foam to replace a bad MS filter.
good luck

well. i checked the spark plugs today, and they were gapped to like 20. i put back in some ngk's, gapped to 44. running better so far i think. also figured out there wasn't but one engine to chassis ground, and it was like 14 gauge. so i put a 4 gauge ground from the head to the chassis. also, the battery was only grounded to the tranny? so i 4 gauge grounded the battery to the chassis as well. crossing fingers.
