Ugh I couldn't get that damn tranny off in the car so I wound up pulling the engine for the 3rd time. Arghhh... anyway I put my stock clutch back on after I couldn't get that spec 3 clutch to disengage. Hopefully it was the clutch. After putting the clutch back on I noticed that cover that's on the fly wheel fell off. I already torqued the clutch on so I said oh well. The spec clutch didn't have one on it so I'm guessing it was ok but then again the spec clutch didn't work either.
Do you need to have that cover on there? I noticed it was just pressed on there, what if it came off when the engine was on I dont' even wanna think about that so I just left it off.
This is what it looks like the spec clutch is on the left and it has no cover and the LuK clutch is on the right.

I don't think it would matter, really, but I'm no expert. I would have reused my PT clutch after that fell out, but the bigger problem was that the flex plate bolts failed, causing the rest of the clutch to take a nice beating.
