Ok I've been putting the car back together for the past couple weeks cuz I have other things to do than work on the car but I finally get it to the point where I can fire it up. after some cranking she fires up and I notice no oil pressure for like 30 seconds so I shut it off and go out and have a look an oil everwhere on the passenger side!!! It blew like all the oil out of that side, the timing belt is wet on the top of the belt also. Everything on top of the engine is dry. So I'm pretty sure its coming from the oil pump.
I read in another post that it if I'm missing some plug in the block that it'll leak really bad. I never had this problem in my last rebuild. Could the machine shop have taken them out when they bored the block? It looks like its leaking from the other side also the cross member has some oil dripping off of it. Arrghhh it looks like I gotta pull the engine again!!! >.<
Is this that plug I'm talking about?
it seems to be there in that picture but that's from my last rebuild O_o'

Yea, if you took it to a machine shop, they probably did take out the oil plugs, that's what happened to me when i rebuilt. Oil out from both sides of the block. Had to pull it out and plug them up. Tomorrow I will be pulling it out again to fix a bad rear main leak. Stupid autozone seal didn't come with a spring. By the way did you prime the oil pump?
edit: yes, that oil plug you circled are the ones that need to be plugged. One on each side of the block. The hole at the bottom is not a plug. That is where the oil pump goes to.

So there is a plug on the back of the block also? Oh man so much work to put it in only to have it taken out and finals are coming soon, this car is never going to run. They left all the other plugs in why just take those out arrghhh.
Where did you get the plugs at? Ugh this is turning into a total nightmare. The engines pretty much got to come out again doesn't it? Unless I undo the timing belt crap and take the tranny out >.< might as well take it out again. I wish I could go back in time and warn myself >.<'
oh yes I did prime the pump, I was thinking it was that also because I didn't prime it last time I rebuilt the engine but doesn't seem like it.

Just go to your local auto parts store, they carry those plugs. Just make sure you get the right size. I had my old plugs so I just took them in and matched them. And yes, there is another plug on the other side of the block right behind the flexplate. So you'll have to remove that also to get to it and plug it right. I tried being lazy about it the first time, and wasn't able to plug them right with the flexplate on. So just pull the engine and plug those things nice and tight.
Check to make sure if the plugs are missing tho. If you take off the crank pulley, you can barely see the plug on the timing belt side. Check to see if it's unplugged.

koo yeah first thing I'll do is pull the pulley out again, I don't know how many more times the crank can handle pulling and installing it I thought I stripped it this time.
Do you know what size it is? The machine shop gave me a box of parts they took off the block when they worked on it and there were no plugs in there so if they're not in there. I guess I can measure the hole.
I'd think its common sense if they took something off of the block they should put it back or at least give it back to me or warn me they took it off.
anyway thanx for your help and your post if it weren't for you I'd be even more pissed right now but in the dark. Someone should make a sticky of this or something, so this doesn't happen to others.
this is seriously going to give me nightmares, I've already been drawing engine diagrams on my calculus notes when I'm bored in class. My skin is always oily now also

I took the pulley off and moved the cover off a bit and I couldn't see anything. Its behind the rear cover but its leaking from that area I can see all the oil dripping all over the tensioner.
how do I check it?

You should be able to see if the plug is there. I just pulled my engine out today, and saw the size for the plugs. They are 6mm in size if you need to buy them. With the rear timing belt cover on, you should only be able to see about half of hole, but you should be able to see if it's plugged or not without taking anything else off.
Hopefully it's not your oil pump seal.

k took a better look at it today and I found the plug just like you said , your da man 96rs-t. Was hard to tell if the plug was there but I stuck a zip tie through the hole and it went in and out no problem so the damn machine shop screwed me over yet again. taking the alternator bracket off helped me see it.
got the engine out today not bad took me like 5 hours this time on and off.
