I got this idea from the turbo guys I was hanging out with today (I'm gladI'm a part of NEDSM). What about adjusting the cam angle sensor? The turbo guys will do this to get a little more timing from the car. It fools the car into providing a timing advance over the whole rpm range.
Would such a thing be possible with our engine? It is the only thing I can think of besides the unproven ITC which could advance our timing for us.

I guess you could do it the same way the S-ITC would. But I guess it all depends on the output of the CAS and what it does with it to figure out the timing.

i think the sensor uses magnets to verify the position of the camshafts. if you moved it, i dunno what would happen. my sensor was fallin out of its clipand loosing connection over bumps etc.. and my rpms would jump and fall at like 1000 rpm increments til she cut off on me.

From what i understand, all our timing is set by input from the crank angle sensor. The ECU uses the cam angle sensor as a reference signal to determine of mechanical timing is maintained and not to adjust ignition spark.
