Ok, this is just typical. I take out the motor, i fix the leaks, now i turn on the car, no more leaks, but now the damn car is idleing at 3k. I leave it on, and it seems as if the rpms want to keep going up. This didn't happen before. What could i have fucked up now?

yea, i checked all connections on the TB, checked the TB itself to make sure the flap wasn't some how jammed open, but everything seems fine around that area.

omg, i just found the problem. Since i only have one bolt holding the egr pipe to the back of the intake mani, i just felt it back there and it's twisted to the side. So there is a bare hole there. Gonna go fix it. Should fix the problem - it better.

dood finish your car already! ha ha, no seriously though, I think you probably have the least amount of downtime compared to the rest of us locals. that rebuild would have taken me until May.

wait until you see the project I'm working on now. you know I always have crazy ideas

lol, this car hates me dood. I fix one leak and another appears. The motor is in already. I'm just testing now. It seems now that the rear main may be leaking - even tho i took all the precautions installing it, but that leak can kiss my ass for now. It's gonna have to wait til i'm outta school.

And i've been waiting for you to reveal all those tricks you've got up your sleeve.

everything around the intake manifold. Some hoses might even have cracks or leaks not visible to your eye. Also, did you use all new gaskets?

i thought it was the rear main, but turns out it was my oil pressure sensor. Damn sensor wire ripped while i was down there trying to torque it. All new gaskets, and no more leaks.

You are almost there!

Eventually, you get to the point where it's not that you're afraid you won't be able to fix it if it breaks, because you know you can fix anything under the hood. You just find that you don't want to fuck with it this weekend. emoji

Welcome to the club. LOL>
