#96865, "couple of questions"

ok i bought my car and one day when i was racing my car went to almost 8 grand. i have heard that they have a chip so you don't have a rev limter. i know something is different because my friends car hits rev limiter at 7300. i know the mod is an ecu mod so how do i know if it has been messed with?
ok and now the second question. i went and had my check engine light checked.not because of the cel but because im trying to find out why my car idles at 1200 rpm with my throttle cable all the way lose. and it said the codes was p0123 throttle/ pedal position sensor/switch a circuit high input. it was a freeze code so i had it erased and it came back the next time i started my car. so should i replace the sensor?

thanks

The AFX ECU eliminated the rev limiter. The ECu will be tagged if it is an AFX.

As long as the TPS is plugged in, chances are that it's bad, replace it.

Go that way, really fast, if something gets in your way... turn.
