I am on my way to installing me msns and I need to know the npt sizes for the hardlines on both the pump housing and the feed hard line. I have taking apart the fpr/fliter housing before and both lines look like they are npt. Anyway if some one that has deleter the fpr/filter and put in a regular fuel injected fuel filter can remember what size male fittings are on those things it would help me out alot. Thanks
Sam

You dont need a fitting at the "fule pump housing". The return is a barbed "push on" connection. I just used two hose clamps on that.

As for the fitting at the fuel rail, Im assuming you mean at the Schrader valve. It is -4an threads, which I think is 1/4 pipe thread. Mine is setup with a 97-99 fuel rail and what I did, was I cut the FPR off and welded a bung on it to hold a 1/4 npt male to -4an male fitting.

Again, this is just the way I did mine, Im sure there a few other ways its be done.

Good luck
DJ

I know what the fittings at the rail are. On the feed line from the pump housing to the hardline under the car there are 2 fittings. By looking at them I would think they are 3/8th npt but I would just like to make sure.

In other words If you have taken out your fuel filter/fpr you have to take off the 3 lines. 1 is the return the other two have fittings that you need a wrench to take off. Thos are the fittings I am talking about.
I hope this is clear enough.

Well I did a little searching and made a few phone calls and my eyes were rignt The size is 3/6 npt. So female 3/8npt-3/8 hose barb will do me fine. Also I didn't relize that universal fuel filters for fuel injected cars were so expensive. Anyone know where I can get one for under 50 bucks?

autozone.

dont worry about the bling for your replaceable, see through fuel filter that plays mariachi music while the fuel pump is running. Just goto autozone and buy a generic fuel filter for injected engines.

-AN and NPT are different thread style and sealing set up, they are not interchangeable.
