#96648, "Question about removing cat/exhaust bolts"
My talon has a mad tyte kuztom muffler shop catback exhaust and it is loud as shit and sounds like shit. I cant handle driving on the interstate and cant hear any music any more.
I bought another stock catback off a friend for 20 bucks and I can't wait to put it back on. The two bolts that hold the exhaust to the cat (on the back of the cat) are rust welded on.
Anyone have any tips on how to get off some nasty rusty bolts. I've tried to brake them with an impact gun with plenty of wd-40 and nothing. They arent rounded or anything so there is still hope.

If you can get them off intact, make sure to use anti-sieze on those threads when you reinstall them.
And if the bolts need to be replaced because you cut them (or, hell, even if you feel like replacing them) use some grade 8 bolts to replace them. They will take longer to "become one" with your exhaust system, and they can take more of a beating when you need to use the breaker bar on them to remove them.
