Did a search and nothing came up. 96 2.0 N/T 5 spd

Well, 2 weeks ago I filled up my gas tank full. When I first started driving my fuel light came on a few times. And it ran a little wierd those few times. Wierd I thought but it went away. Everything seemed normal. It came on towards the end of the tank like usual. Although it did flash on and off a little more then usual.

Well tank number 2. I filled up last night. Same thing, except it isn't going away. The fuel level registers normal as far as I am concerned. The fuel light will come on and I can feel a short fuel cut/loss of power. When I let off the gas pedal the light will go off. Even if I don't let off the pedal the light will go on and off as it pleases. And so far this only seems to do it while driving. Hasn't acted up at idle yet.

So my question is....., Is my fuel pump going out on me? : And is the fuel sender located on the fuel pump?

Regarding the fuel pump location, it is located on the passengers side rear passenger seats. Take out the rear seats (just the ones you sit you butt on) and you will be looking at two panels. The center panel is the fuel level unit, and the one on the pass side is fuel pump. Very easy to change man! And if you plan to turbo, you can always upgrade to a hi-flow pump for 100 with a walbro.

The sender and the pump are two seperate units. They are both under the back seat, the pump on the passenger side, and the sender in the middle.

Hmmmm thanks! I didn't know that. I wonder if my sender is going out then. There should be no reason why the low fuel light should be flashing when I have a full tank lol
