#96499, "WTF HAPPENED???"

Ok this is what happened.... moday drivin to work it sounded like my car backfired while going 50 on the freeway... nothing much, so yesterday morning it felt like it was bucking while i was driving, then at 230am driving home, my check engine light came on and started blinking and it was like bucking when i tried to go..... it would never stall or turn off though. it just barely moved and was making a DEEP sound in the exhuast like when i unpluged my oxygen sensor to the header... but i plugged that back in 2 min later.... that was months ago... so anyway my car now is parked in a kaiser parking lot fukd.... anyone know what it could be????

what I always hear is when your car is bucking, its likely the Cam or Crank sensor. Can you do the keydance and see what codes you're getting?

I agree, I had this problem before and it was my crank sensor. Definetley check your codes.

When you CEL is blinking like that, your car is obviously experiencing a misfire issue. You'll need to get that Check Engine Light scanned and find out what exactly is going on.

I've had the multiple cylinder misfire, but I never got a CEL for it, well one time when I let the lady try to drive my car...

Anywho, I replaced my coilpack, wires, and plugs... everything has been pretty much dandy since then.

Am I the only one that thinks that the original poster answered his own question?

Check your front o2 sensor bud.

Agreed, check your O2 plug then get the code scanned and do a tune up.

Or you can follow the above advise and spend 300.00 replacing parts because you dont know/want to troubleshoot the problem.

you could have popped the hood and looked down to see if the o2 sensor was fully plugged in is what StarTurboTalon and micyek were saying.

Sorry I had to fix it for you. Any who did you make sure the spark plugs were gapped properly. Inspect your connections at the O2 sensor, Cam sensor, and Crank sensor. Also if they over tightened the coil pack, and it cracked, that can cause a misfire. But it would most likely be constant not varying with RPM. I have seen bad plug wires out of the box, so you might want to test those for proper resistance, and if they are out of spec return them for warranty. I'd even go as far as checking your compression across the board to verify that you don't have a weak cylinder. Just cover all the bases before you go spending money again on this problem.
