#96349, "dropping oil pressure"

I was just wondering if my oil pressure should be dropping to 10 to 15 psi while driving at 60 mph, and 5 at idle. The pressure is fine when it is first started, but as it warms up the pressure drops. Any clues would be appreciated.

no it definatly shouldnt be that low unless theres something wrong with your gauge. you should never go below about 15psi with a warm engine while idling, at 60mph you should see anywhere from 50-75, and again i guess it all depends on the oil used and climate your in, these are my numbers but id definatly say yours is scary low. check that out.

Okay, would you say that if you were driving down the road 60miles an hr and your OP is 15 psi? lol

Mine is around 30 - 50 and idles at 65 cold and 25ish warm.

I would have pulled over and shit the car off emoji and checked to see it there was anything in the oil pan. emoji

I check the oil almost everyday, and it is fine on the level, just low pressure. Maybe I have a shitty gauge, it is a sunpro after all
