1. I let my car heat up all the way before i go for a ride like to work, Well I cools off when driving a heats up when idle. I mean it cools off quick and alot like almost all the way down to the bottom line of the gauge.

2. I noticed that when I am on the highway and travelling at 80+ my car wont shift from o/d on to o/d off. but if I leave it off for about 30 seconds just out of nowwhere I shifts to off. If u understand that. The samething will happen when I try to turn it bacck on.

3.Also my car will not accelerate at at max h.p. unless forced. by basically smashing the pedal a couple of times. It actually goes real slow at first. Unless forced.

You mean that it cools down while you are cruising and warms back up to normal when you slow down (stoplight). If that is the case, then I would suspect that your thermostat is stuck open. All the air moving past the radiator cools things down too much. It only heats back up when you stop and there is no air flowing past the radiator.

If your car is not warming up, then the ECU will consider the engine cold and it won't behave properly. Among other things, it won't read the O2 sensor and this causes bad mileage and low power. It may also shift differently when it thinks the engine is cold. Or maybe the OD switch is broken. Does the OD light turn on/off when you flip the switch on/off?

Thanx for the info. I will go ahead and replace the termostat sense tyhere only a couple of bucks. The 2+3 question seems to only happen when engine is at normal temp. though but maybe cause it was cooling off. Does the tps effect shifting. The od light will come on by the way. I asked about the tps cause there is a rattle in the tb.

You say it is at normal temp while cruising 80+ mph? Then, when does it cool down? For my thermostat theory to work, the car should cool down when you go fast (unless the engine is working hard to get 80 mph). The temp gauge really should stay exactly in the middle (between H and C) no matter how you drive. If it is low or high, then there is something wrong.
