I have a really weird question
I have no spark when I turn the key, again...
I replaced the crank sensor and it worked for a little while
now I have funky cranking again
it will turn over multiple times, but wont fire the coil
so today I inspected the wiring, and it appeared to check out
Ive been reading and suspect the ASD relay, so I guess Ill go to Mitsu in the morning
also the voltage to my coil is only 1.2 volts...
why??

well, just a shot in the dark, but i know you just did your timing not too many days ago. and if your out of time your ECU will not allow the engine to fire because the crank and cam sensor triggers dont line up. my guess would be to check your timing once more.

LOL it must be a girl thing
if my mom had her way, Id have a Corolla

oh I made it back fine
didnt have a funky crank
however once I got to N Dale Mabry
about 20 miles or so of interstate and a few city miles I get a CEL while in the turn lane waiting for the light
check it when I get back over to my side of the bridge and its a 1390
I did rewire the plug for the crank sensor and Im not the best at soldering, truth be told Im horrible period, especially upside down
I thought of using splice locks when I go under there tomorrow...
last time I had a 1390, I changed the crank sensor and it went away and I got a 0351?? which is common with the screamin demon coils, especially if you dont regap the plugs

The problem most likely lies in my soldering skills.. emoji
do yall think splice locks are a good idea for that area??

edit: the car idles and drives perfectly, doesnt miss as far as I can tell...

Sure, but people don't do anything near what we do to a 2GNT to a Corolla. if they did, believe me, they'd think otherwise just as we do.

Congratulations on your pending engine modifications Blizarre. I just wanted to be the first to get on the twin turbo 4-cylinder bandwagon.

actually blizare i think you should scrap that whole project and just goto a quad turbo/4cylinder setup. j/king

but seriously, would like to see how that turns out and how that would fit in the engine bay. Let us know how that comes along.
