Hey guys I just dynoed my 99 gs with 45k miles on it. I only did one run which came up with 134.3hp.

My mods: ebay short ram w/ K&N filter, msd coil pack and wires, denso iridium spark plugs, Apexi N1, NX 50 shot (not used in dyno), clutch master stage1, and of course royal purple oil lol.

Is this a good number for almost stock?

rated 140hp at the crank from the factory...over 130 to the wheels is not too shabby being almost stock.

but if i did spray i would say it would just add about 35 to 40 hp to the wheels.

but my 1/4 mile time is sooooo bad.

first run: 20. someting seconds.
sec run: 18. something secs.
third run: low 18s
fourth run: w/ 50 shot, mid 17s

all of the runs i had big traction problems and it was my first time at the track.

How was the 60ft time? Just keep the heat on in the car and put a jacket over it. emoji

You had shitty times cause you don't know how to launch your car yet. Once you get that down after a few more passes at the track, your times should be around 16 or so seconds i'd say. Don't be discouraged, it takes practice but it's major fun in the end. emoji

I launched the car at different rpms. I tried 3k, 4k, and some in between those. But all gave me alot of tire spin. I finally realized to let some air out of the tire after seeing people doing that waiting. That helped a little. What probably would have helped was to go all the way to redline then shift. I shifted mostly at like 6k.

I race my friends integra ls which is almost stock also and everytime he would start pulling on me when were at the mid to end of third gear. I felt like crap running these times after reading on this forum that people run like 16's with little mods.

That's because you have an open differential. The next time you have the transmission out install a real limited-slip like a Quaife or a Diff. Retrofit. It's not just a drag racing bonus, but it reduces inside wheelspin quite a bit in the turns and makes traction in the winter much better.

Eh? emoji

I'm saying, and maybe you caught this, that I still run a stock coil pack, wires, NGK plugs, and cam gears and if upgrading the coil pack and wires is good for almost 30whp above the average "stock" dyno pull, then I really ought to get them installed on my own car. emoji

EDIT:
Damn. I need to get to the dyno soon!

Hey guys I just want to tell you guys what I dynoed b/c maybe someone was interest. I didnt do this to get ranked on. And why would I lie on a forum for.

Maybe the dyno was off by 10-20 percent. But i went on right after the owner ran his M3 which gave out about 230hp and 300 something torque.

Why do you think it was off?
Seems correct to me good numbers you got.
I was told you loose up to 20% from fly to wheel if you got a stick and up to 30% if you got an auto.
You got a strong car I am going all motor myself thnx for the n4 it really helped me out!!! emoji

your retarted

Those are pretty good numbers. What are your 60' times? And how are you launching the car? You should get into the mid 14's with a 75 shot and decent driving.
