#9461, "Is my tranny or clutch starting to slip?"

Hey guys, thanks for the help with the noise under the hood and spun bearing question.

Here's one more: When I slam on the gas I think my tranny or clutch is starting to slip (hope I'm wrong) Here's what happens; It runs fine until about 2-3000 rpms right about that point there seems to be a gap, the car slows then immediately catches on and jolts (all within 1 second). Its starting to happen frequently and only from 1-2 gear. I've been thinking of changing my fuel filter, could it have anything to do with the fuel injector?

Quick info on car
95 with 135k miles
Timing belt done twice, every 60K
Never had major mechanical problems.
Always stayed on top of basic maintenance (oil, spark plugs, belts, brakes, etc.)

Thanks for the help

If the clutch were slipping, you would see your revs go way high without the cart moving. It might just be misfire due to bad plugs or wires. A fuel filter could cause a problem if it were very clogged. They are pretty easy to change anyway.
