When it is cold and i start it, it starts fine but i can hear a, i dont want to say knock, but a tick and it increases as i start to go, but when my car warms up and is at normal temp, it goes away. What is it and should i be conserned, and if so, wat do i do about it

lifter tick....very common. nothing to worry about. If you want to fix it you can get some PT lifters.

You might try a different weight oil if you felt like being clever. What weight you run right now? I run 10-30 (the cheapest I can find) and mine never slap. Wait. My pistons do, but my lifters are silent. Then again, I have the PTC lifters, so...

Mine sounds like a damn diesel truck in the morning when its warming up...(forged pistons). I have to start my car atleast 5 minutes before I leave anywhere, after it warms up though the sound goes away.

Guessing that you have a stock motor, it is most likely lifter tick. Like said above, if you feel like upgrading to pt cruiser lifters in the future it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Replace the lifters. It is a quick and easy job if you follow the lifter replacing technique in this forum. You can do it in about 1hr and all you need is a big screwdriver.
