i have been snapping my ps/ac belt almost every 3k miles since i replaced my head. The belts are tight and are not amking any noise. i am not sure what is causeing it but i can tell the outside edge of the belt is getting ripped. The belt that snapped today is perfectly fine on the inside (engine side), but the outside is trashed. My crankshaft pully is a little off (wobble) and looks like some notch's in the pully where they stuck a screw driver to hold the pully when they were pulling it off. am i on the right track and replace my crankshaft pully or is something else going on.

I had a similar problem right when i got my car. Turns out, several sets of belts later, and the jackass i bought it from had been tightening the belts with a crowbar and damaged the crank pulley. The scratches and gouges in the pulley were ripping the belts apart. Might want to check that out. Good excuse to upgrade to the AFX.

My unorthodox cam gears have some spots in them where it looks like they grinded a piece of mtal or something.. I have been meaning to take it apart and lightly sand the rough parts, whould this be ok or whould it fuck up the cam gears? My timing belt looks fine, just dont want it to cause probs further down the line.
