Still don't know the culprit of which belt is squeaking, but assuming it is the timing belt, do you think the dealer's repair shop will put in the udp for me? or you think they'll pull one of those it's not stock bs things?

Don't really know where else to go to do it.

A lot of people around here have had a dealer put on an UDP for them, so I don't think they'll mind doing it. Have you asked them if they’ll do it?

Also, what place is the cheapest to get the udp? MachV had it with belts already for 200. Just trying to see my options. heh.

And should i be going to a Dodge/chrysler dealer or a Mitsu dealer? Either or?

Can anybody tell yet that this is my first real car and I'm really paranoid? Just wondering. =)

Holy crap, THANKS for the link! Right now shipping is free, and apparently there's like a 5 dollar discount too. I suggest everyone check it out if they're looking for a udp too.

It's more than likely the alternator belt. I would hope that your timing belt isn't squeaking. That would lead one to believe that your tensioners are starting to fail.

Deff. don't think that your timing belt is squeaking. It is, however, a good idea to change your timing belt around 75k miles or so. The squeaking is usually the alternator, but not always. Any of the belt accessories can be squeaking. Inspect the belts (not timing) for any cracks. If they look good, they just tighten your tensioners.

I was paying really close attention to the squeaking today and I realize that as the revs get higher, it dissapears. (either that or it goes hypersonic and I'm making dogs go deaf).

And, i just ordered my AF/X udp, so i think i'm just going to go to the dealer and have them check it out and install the udp for me.

I'm too new to this car stuff to tackle it myself.... unless... someone has a nice writeup with pics? heh. =D

The Unorthodox Racing UD Pulley is of good quality, now sure how much there are going for now, bought mine way back... I havent had any problems with this brand yet, I am satisfied with their cam gears too, but I need them dyno tuned.
