#92902, "Speedo and odometer problem"

I dont currently have a car or a service manual with me but my speedo has not worked for a little while so I originally thought it might be the speedo sensor that went bad.

HOWEVER, the odometer is not working either. I know that the entire gauage cluster plugs into the dash, and am wondering if there is a fuse for the speedo and the odometer that could have gone bad instead of the actual speedo sensor itself?

Anyone know or have any input?

Thanks

Check the voltage coming off of the speedo sensor.. i didn't feel like doing that so i just got a new vss, still haven't put it on. Racking up no miles doesn't bother me, i will get to it eventually. (sorry i'm kind of lazy at this time, been sick on and off for the last few months)

Was more freaked out my car was idling at 12-1300 rpms with a check engine light. It had never done that before because of the VSS, my stock ecu even now doesn't do it.

That's exactly what's going on with my car right now too, except I arleady know that my plastic gear fell off the tranny. I'll fix it when I pull my motor again in November.
