#9290, "another dual exhaust question"

ok so a dual exhaust setup would almost totally kill the bottom end power but what if you were turboed and went with a 2.5 main and a 2 branch off? or even a 2.25 and a 2

I don't think dual exhaust would kill your low end that much. Almost all the people I know that have black widow kits do have dual exhausts on their n/a civics and integras. Just use 2.25 inch piping or smaller and you should be fine. Most people with dual exhausts end up with most of the exhaust flow coming out of just one muffler, and just a little bit coming out the other. I think it's because it's really hard to make the piping to both mufflers exactly equal in terms of flow and length.

I don't think a 2.0 4 cyl engine even creates enough backpressure to warrant a dual exhaust setup. You will really only succeed in making people laugh at the fact that you have 1.25 inches of exhaust passage per cylidner. I also believe that the lack of backpressure would completely ruin the engine.
