I have a chance to get one at a really kickass price.. Just haven't seen this model around.
I haven't got a part # from the guy yet, i asked him for it. I just want to make sure this is gonna work on a 2gnt. I think most of the crane units do, but I dont' want to fork over the cash for something I can't use. Also can't I use this to control ignition in conjuction with megasquirt and bypass all the problems with the dwell settings? That would be kickass! So let me know, if the question is not answered I will try to get more information. Thanks

When Crane tested its new HI-6 ignitions (with optional PS-91 coils), they produced twice the ignition energy of a leading competitor's boxes. They're designed to work with engines from 10:1 to 14.5:1 compression ratios, nitrous, superchargers, or turbos. Made for street and racing use, they come with Crane's "Plug-n-Go" universal harness to cover most installations, with optional harnesses available separately. Their built-in rev limiter automatically drops cylinders in firing order to prevent fuel loading, and is adjustable by increments of 100 from 600-9,900 rpm without any chips. Other built-in features include a tach accuracy check, a system problems check for easy problem diagnosis, and cross-fire protection for supercharged and turbo applications. They have a solid state construction that's immune to vibration and shock, and an anodized heat-sink shell for reliability. Crane also offers them in Import Power versions that have the same features and are available in 4 different colors. They're compatible with points and electronic ignitions and work with 4, 6, and 8-cylinder engines with distributors.

Yeah, i have the Crane HI-6DI2 Fireball Ignition box, and it works great. I use the mitsu ignitor being fired by the megasquirt, and the ignitor fires the Crane box wonderfully. It's not exactly cheap brand new though..300+
