Alright i know this has been discussed before and I have searched but I still cannot get this bolt off. Its the outlet bolt I guess, I have sprayed it with wd 40 and BP blaster for a full day now, tried tapping it with hammer to loosen it, pulled on it all day and nothing. Its the next day now and I need to change this filter so I can drive. The bolt has also been striped in one place to you can only use the wrench on certain places on the head not leaving much room to pull ( hope that made sense).

Are you, and have you been, using a flare nut wrench? Such a tool is the best way to avoid stripping fluid line nuts.
I have had my best luck putting an open end wrench on the hex on the filter (next to the flare nut), putting a flare nut wrench on the nut on the line, and putting a prybar between them to force them apart.
You might also be able to use a crow's fooot and an impact wrench, but I would try the above first, as you might wind up banjaxing the lines with an impact wrench.

No i havent been using that wrench but I just managed to get it off thank god. Just got the socket up in there and kept at it. Im ready to put new filter in, is there any I should do to prep this filter or just go ahead and stick it in?

I'd say so. Might start the car and look to see where the gas is coming from. Those can be a PITA. I went 142k on my original fuel filter just because I was a newb and couldn't get the damn thing out.

betcha forgot to put those brass crush washers in?? when they fall out of the package they dissapear fast. It will always leak without those... even if it just drips or looks damp, fix it.

Oh my god those damn bolts...what i did was pull down on the filter itself it bent the return line a little but not much(thank god no kink in it) and used a regular socket wrench on it...i wouldnt recommend it tho.. And for the leaking..its a washer u forgot to put back on,i had the same problem. Fuel filter changes are no fun...i had a rash from so much gasonline leaking on my arm :/

No, i didnt forget the washers, I remember reading about djtrickee saying that in an old post so i made sure I had those on. I just had to tighten up those bolts, but yea other then that it was hell. I hope there are no bolts like that for the turbo system install.
