#92748, "starting and hestitation problems"

Well within the last month the car has had some problems starting(ex. the BBQ meet). And today on my way to work while i was driving the car started to hesitate. When i would give it gas the rpms would drop and it would almost die. I pulled over poped the hood and pushed on the throttle and it reved up fine, and it drove fine the rest of the way. What could this be, i dont want this to happen again.

I would try cleaning the throttle body. I would think that if you revved it with the pedal and it didn't work but you manually pushed the throttle, then it's probably just getting stuck. Either that or the throttle cable. When's the last time you did a tune up?

Is that cable in place and tight? How about the ML? Is your MAP or the ML all gunked out maybe? You don't build any boost free-revving, do you? Dunno. emoji

I just had the throttle body cleaned a couple months ago because i was having problems with fuel cut (stars FCD) and i also just cleaned the missing link around the same time, but i could check it all again.

Well yesterday i cleaned out the throttle body and there was all kind of black gunk in there and i also put my msd back on and cleaned up the whole area where the throttle cable is. Today it ran fine to work no problems, so hopefuly that was it, but i think i am going to replace my radiator and thermostat to stop the overheating since it is so hot out here in AZ.
