#92632, "JE rings w/ Wiseco Pistons"

I have Total Seal rings right now, but since I'm rebuilding my motor for the second time I think I'm going to replace them. Too many mixed reviews on the Total Seal rings for me to feel comfortable. I was going to order the JE's last night from Hahn, but their web-site says "for use with JE pistons". I have Wiseco pistons, so I just wanted to double check before I order them and make sure I can use JE rings with them. I wouldn't see why not ... any insight?

E-mail them and ask. If the ring grooves are designed to support the same size rings, I think you'd be okay.

DR1665 had those pistons, but I don't remember which rings, you might be able to ask him.

IMO the best person to speak w/ this issue to is to speak directly to the Piston manufacturer. Give them a call. It also helps to have data sheets for both rings and pistons and ofcourse the bore size.

When is the money spending going to stop on this fucking car?!

Hmm, I have not had any problems with my total seals, other than they were a bitch to install.

I didn't really "notice" that I was having any problems with my Total Seal rings ... but I was having lots of oil pressure problems, so there might have been some blowby or something going on there. Plus, it seems Summit doesn't carry them anymore for our car and I've had a hard time tracking them down elsewhere other than Howell. Most guys here seem to really like the JE's ... just hoping I can use them with Wiseco's.
