#92467, "97 RS wiring harness in 95 GS/ Tranny swap"
I have a 97 RS that has a 5 speed tranny and a 95 GS w/ auto tranny. Both engines are in shop being rebuilt/ one for the GS is being fully built w/Super 20G turbo setup. So I want the 5 speed in my GS but still be able to run the auto in the RS(for daily driver)later. I have both harnesses removed from the computer under the hood all the way back through firewall to where they plug in under radio. Is that all the harnness I need to swap? Are there any other hidden plugs or wires I should be aware of? Also the 97 RS harness has 2 o2 sensor outputs and my 95 GS only has one by exhaust manifold, any solutions to that besides just welding in another O2 on my 95 and disregard the extra on the RS? Any other tips will help greatly. Thanks

I've had my GS a little over 3 years now so I have customized pretty much all of it,can't imagine swapping all that to the RS and give up the elec. sunroof and power everything too. Just now finishing my turbo engine build and really wanted a 5 speed. So I find a 97 RS in real good shape for $1500 so I bought it for all the tranny parts and stuff. Then figured I could just put my auto in it and use for a back up car.

Seems very reasonable. I dont really know anything about the conversion but it should be pretty straightforward since you have both complete cars.
