idk if anyone else has this problem but i have a AEM CAI on my 98 GS auto and when its at about 6000 rpms shifting into 2nd it makes a loud gargle noise that sounds like something is going to break. everything is tight and i was thinking maybe it was the AEM filter.

Have anything to compare the noise too. My CAI used to make a thunderous sound around 6800 rpms while spraying. I could hear it over the greddy evo. Scary...

sort of sounds like a backfire but its not...i was looking and i found other ppl have had the same problem and that Inifinit3's tcu mod cures the problem so i might try that

Yeah I have the same CAI and same car and mine does that too. You think its bad? I thought it sounded badass. It was as if my car was saying "fuck you!" to all the other cars on the road as it changed gears. Let me know if you think I should get it fixed, that is, if it is even a problem.
