I sprayed the TB cleaner in to the throttle plate and then directly inside the TB itself, then wiped it off. I then re-attached my intake and placed everything back to normal. When I started the car, it was VERY hesitant and then finally started. I gave it some gas and everything seems to be fine. Is this normal for the car to start like that after you spray some of the cleaner??? I did wipe most of the cleaner off, but couldn't get INSIDE the throttle body. Thanks!!!!!

Yep, don't worry about you need to clear out the cleaner and gunk so it iwl startup and run rough for a brief time.

well ur supposed to clog this one lil hole and not get it all in there .. the first time i ever did it.. it was a pain to start because i got it all in that lil hole.. next time i plugged it up..it started right up.. but its fine

Won't hurt too bad, it was burning up in the combustion chamber when you was having that hesitation... Just dont over clean with like 3 cans all down the intake manifold, lol... That's probably about how many I used when I was cleaning out my intercooler and intake manifold and piping and shit, I burned up my o2 sensors, and you will clog up your cat if you have one.. so dont over use cleaners, fuel system stuff, etc...

WWHEEEWWW......that gave me quite a scare. I only used about half a bottle. Thanks guys!!!!!!!

That was a normal start up. Next time you clean it, spray the cleaner into the throttle body and then hold the throttle plate open by hand. Spray the back of the throttle plate and take an old (or new and not to be reused) tootbrush and clean deep inside the opening. Clean the back of the throttle plate too. DO NOT use anything to hold the throttle plate open except your hand on the linkage or someone inside the car holding the go pedal to the floor. Then respray till it looks shiney clean. When you start the car, hold the pedal down alittle and it will start easier. You will have some black nasty smoke out the tail pipe so be prepared for that so it does not scare you. All ready to put back together and KICK BUTT.

yeah dood if you plan on doin this often which you should then go to a parts store and get a wire toothbrush it will get the gunk out alot better and actually pull quarter sized chunks out.
