#91805, "did a few tests (kinda long)"

alright well, i was out today with my buddy trying to fix this thing with no luck. Though we did do some testing, it would kinddddd of idle, very roughly, a lot of stumbling, and the when the car is started the signal wire gives off about .2V then goes back down to zero, and will go back up sporatically, but mostly at 0V, at the connector at the sensor, and when its idling its drawing about 15 inHg which should be around 1V on the map sensor, and its just not reading anything, which leads me to believe, that the map sensor i picked up from the junkyard was bad too. I tried running the ground wire straight the the negative side of the battery, didn't do anything. and i tried to run the signal wire straight from the connectory to the PCM, didn't do anything.

I was thinking that maybe something could be causing there to be not enough pressure in the manifold causing a rough idle maybe due to the timing belt skipping a tooth or a clogged fuel filter or something, but there still should be some voltage comming off of the map sensor right?

If anyone knows anyone in the Northern VA region with a 2gnt that runs or a neon with the same map sensor, i would appreciate it if i could just borrow a map sensor and see if it would work, because if not, then it's some other problem, but i just don't see how it could be anything but the map sensor since it's not giving any signal voltage. So yea if anyone could help me out with that or give me anymore ideas of what you think it may be, let me know, thanks

I've got another upper intake sitting in my garage, I can look to see if the MAP sensor is on it. I also have the one from the car (not currently running) that I can send you. I haven't even started on the motor, so you'd have at least 2 weeks to test. You pay shipping both ways and you can try them.
