i dont mean to be a dick, but why are you trying to install a fuel gauge if you haven't thought it through and dont even know the basics of how to do it?...

is it a fuel pressure gauge or a fuel level gauge...? is it electronic or mechanical? i assume its a mechanical since you said it has a 4an end... you do know that those go on the OUTSIDE of the car, right?

USED TO HAVE...Everything you wish you had, and then some...

you can tie into the test port on our fuel rails. if memory serves me correctly those are -4an as well. you will need to purge your fuel lines, remove the shrader valve core in there, and just hook up your line. and yes, unless electrical, they go outside.

it ok i dont think ur a dick but i have thought it through and know how I just dont know the size on the fuel filter to attach fitting. I have a 95 witht he filter on the firewall but i can not find the size on the out anywhere. A -4 an doesnt fit tightly, 1/4 is to big. Also i dont have a test port on my fuel rail. I took the damn thing off trying to find it. hench my delema. That was my first thought was a test port.

try summit or an specialized car shop that carries AN fittings. i got one with my nitrous kit which was for tapping into the fuel line. it was a "T" fitting with barbs on 2 ends and a -4an fitting up top for the line.
