at the drive in last night i started my car and it chuged for about 5 seconds and then idled just fine. what i was going down the road and the car will only go about 4 ina half gran and it will not go any further. it got to 4 1/2 just fine and no further. i think it is the fuel filter what do you think it is

Could be a bunch of things... Did your check engine light turn on? If so, get the code, and check the appropriate sensor and wiring.

MAP sensor? Bad map sensor will not let the car rev past 4200ish.
