Fuel.

Check the connector for your fuel pump. It's under the back seat on the passenger side under the access panel. Do you hear the pump prime when you turn the key to the ON position (without starting)?

I messed with the connector once upon a time (if you unplug it, they can't steal your car short of a tow truck), and every once in a while, the connector will vibrate off the plug. Car will die instantly.

Make sure you hear the pump prime. Lift the back seat if you have to. If you don't hear it, it's either dead or you've got electrical problems imo.

Good luck.

I'll give the fuel pump a try first. I use to be able to hear it when I turned the key and now that you mentioned it I don't think I hear it now. I hope thats all it is. I'll let you know.
Thanks.

Well I still need help.
Its not the fuel pump. Its getting fuel and spark at the plugs.
Any other ideas???
I'm not sure where the different sensers are located so it would be great if you could give me a location to look for different sensers. I have a parts car that ran when I parked it so I can pull parts and try different things. just not sure what to try.
Thanks for any help.

It's called the keydance (cha cha cha!) you gotta know how to count, but it'll tell you your CEL codes without a scan tool.

so check the cam sensors wireing first. If standing in front of the car looking at the valve cover.....it's on the right side on the front cam (exhaust)It's black and will have a couple wires coming out of it. If the wiring is good to go then you prolly need a new one. There is 2 screws holding it with a small green gasket. Just swap them out and it should be good to go.

Yeah, you got your codes...so I would check those first. Try that TPS and let us know what's up...or simply search yourself to an answer as previously stated.

I will check the cam senser and fuel relays. Where is the crank senser??
I was just reading another post where they were talking about the relays. So I ran out and fooled with them but still nothing. The fuel pump is running AFTER I start cranking it over and for a second after I stop cranking it over. I also pushed the valve on the fuel rail and gas shot out about an inch and not even a 1/2 ounce.
Any ideas what to try first???
Thanks for any help.

Thanks.
I have a parts car at my parents house, but its an hour away. I'm gonna run up there tommorow and get,
The relays
cam senser
crank senser
Is there anything else I should get in case its not any of those??
Someone said something about a MAP. I'm not sure what or where that is, or if it could be the problem.
If anyone can think of anything else I might need please let me know what and where to find it.
Thanks.

I got a few things from the parts car. I got the relays, changed them and still nothing. I got the cam sensor, changed that nothing. Someone mentioned the throttle position sensor. I brought the whole throttle body home, I'm guessing its on there. I was going to change that but, if its the one on top of the throttle body, I broke 2 torxs bits trying to get it off. The one under it is torx too but also has hex head for a wrench. I could not get to the crank sensor. I guess I should go back up, roll the car out of the weeds, jack it up and get the crank sensor and try that.
This things really starting to piss me off.
Anyone got any other ideas??

Ya, Instead of replacing every sensor known to man on your car, test everything first with an OHM or volt meter.

You could have messed around with your relays but if both are no good, that got you no where right? If one was bad, since one is ignition and the other is fuel, obviously one will cause the car not to start.

I highly doubt its your MAP.

Have you removed the wire loom on all the factory wiring, and actually visually inspected each wire tracing it along to see if there are any shorts or anything?

You have codes for a cam sensor and TPS.
You said you tried replacing the cam sensor, did you clean the magnet on the actual cam? Maybe thats bad.

Replace the IAT and TPS from your parts car with yours on the throttle body, and see what happens.

Also, if you click SEARCH, you would see this subject has been covered MANY times, usually about 2-3 times every month and I am sure you could find many answers besides of what we are telling you.
