#9093, "Stock intake adapter for a mushroom filter????"

since its raining season i took out my aem cold air intake and put my stock intake back on but at the end where the filter goes. i put my aem k&n filter at the end and shoved it in the stock pipe tied some wire around dat fucker hella ghetto style hehehe i dont want to put the stock air box.

now i was wondering if they actually make a adapter piece that goes on the stock end pipe so we can put a musroom filter on it.

i dont wanna get the by pass valve because it sucks. have to cut the pipe then theres a little gap and air can escape blah
and i dont wanna get a cheap metal intake because they get nasty over a period of time.

if you guys no where i can purcahse an adapter let me know

Ya there actually is an adapter that goes inside the stock piping, and gets a bit larger for a filter to go right on. It was a perfect fit. I got it from Robocar back in 1998 for 45 bucks with a filter and the adapter. I would suggest finding one locally though because you have to make sure it fits tight inside the stock piping.

Hey, sorry but I don't live near robocar anymore...but you know you can order directly from them. Just give them a call...their number is 626-810-8989 if I remember right, but I don't know if they still have it. Just measure your stock piping so you can tell them the inner diameter of the piping...good luck...
