hello all! y'all might know my eclipse but i usually only post in interior/exterior on this forum... im having a serious idle problem and wanted an opinion from the NT community...
the car will not idle correctly while the shifter is in neutral position nor when the clutch is engaged... the car dies.... even when shifting gears, the RPMs drop rapidly until i get into another gear real quick. i dont believe that its an ignition problems, swapped spark plugs with NGK iridiums and slightly (but barely) imporved performance and not sure if it could possibly be a fuel problem or not.
is there an idle control valve n e where on the car??? (dont have my chilton)... please help, this bothers the hell out of me because its very difficult tryin not to run into the car in front of you but to keep the car running pleeease help with any info or suggestions! THANKS!

Originally posted by Blizare There is an IAC (Idle Air Control) Sensor. It's located on the intake manifold. You may want to replace that. EDIT: also I'd get rid of them iridium plugs. I'd get BKR6E's in ngk copper. They work wonderfully.
IAC or TPS sensor is your problem. Both on the backside of your throttle body.
