Today I was driving around and whenever I would start to accelerate, the front end (sounded like the drivers side) would sound like something was getting twisted or a slight grinding. It doesn't happen all the time, and is really noticeable when all the windows are closed.
Acceleration seems to be fine, and it usually starts around 5 miles per hour, and stops around maybe 20.
I'm not sure if it would be the tranny or what? It's a '95 automatic with 99,xxx miles.

A- thats not a 95 front bumper in your pic,
B- i had a totally awesome crunchy grindy sound coming from my front left ball joint and i got the recall replacement. the noise came from steering input and suspension compression though, not from actually moving forward. but the noise was very inconsistent.
maybe if you are more specific more people will know what you mean and you will get better ideas?

A- That's right. It's a '97 front end. You can convert them. I also have a '97 rear bumper.
Not real sure how to better describe the problem. I've never had it make this sound before. Or at least I never heard it before. I'll have to keep driving it until I can pinpoint the issue/location better. It's only started to make this noise. Hopefully it's not a situation where the problem destroys something in a short amount of time.
