It's a piece of shit that won't help at all. Move on. Port and polish your own intake manifold.

My advice is to search before you post. All these things have been covered a thousand times.

I agree with "Millah" above but heres some advice for a BANME!. Visit http://www.advancedracingdynamics.com/services.shtml

Buy a used intake manifold (upper and lower plenum) and throttle body from a junkyard cause turn around time is a bitch with A.R.D as they are short staffed, but they do GREAT work! I believe its around $90 for the manifold. They will polish the runners up nicely and bore the TB up to 57mm. I forget the TB pricing. Be prepared, I sent my stuff January 04 and got it back in May 04. Gains are nice and are somewhat dictated by your supporting mods. Throttle response is much better.

I think there is another place "fierro racing" or something that others can vouch for. I have no experience with them but they are probobly faster in regard to turn around.

i have a venom manifold which is the same thing and i like it. i mainly got it just for the bling though. it doesnt do very much at all though performance wise. keep in mind too, it doesnt have room for an egr valve or pcv valve. you have to drill and weld bungs in for those.

Yes, def avoid the OBX manifold. It's not even a direct bolt on if I remember right. Guys on this board who have bought have had to modify it to get it to even work right ... it's a POS. The advice given above is much better.

actually it fits perfect. i had one and then switched to venom cuz the venom was already ported out to accept a 60mm TB.

Here is the obx intake manifold i used to have...
fits right up, perfectly.

Is shit, the venom is also shit. you will save yourself a lot of headaches by keeping the stocker and just porting it. Neither Venom or OBX come with enough vaccum ports and you will need to tap into it for your map and PCV. once it is on you will also have almost cero space between it and your firewall thus not letting you really get in there to check on vaccum leaks, etc. just not worth it...

Unless your turvo, 57mm is the maximum you should bore for ideal airflow.

blah...lol
just a FYI, my venom has a bung on the front for the PCV, and was predrilled for the map sensor. i can fit my whole hand between the firewall and back of the intake to check all vac lines. the only thing it didnt cmoe with, was a port for the egr, in which i dont use anyway. and it comes with 4 ports for all your vac lines. i had to tap one line into it for my BOV, thats it. now the obx was different in which it 4 ports but were all wrong thread size. i will say the obx is junk, but i love my venom emoji

I kinda like mine and with the ported throttlebody it works alright and it bolted right in. Now there isn't jack for space behind it and I had to tweak all the vac ports and had to drill for my map sensor, but I do not run an egr valve so that does not matter---But Zero performance gain.Go stock P&P. Do you want to buy mine?

Well, first of all, the stock manifold sucks ass, and it isn't necessarily because of it's sand-cast nature.

Nobody has really done any back-to-back testing of any of the aftermarket intake manifolds. Nobody has flow-tested any of the aftermarket intake manifolds, either.

So, why does this manifold suck?

  • Improper fitment - no vacuum barbs, pcv nipple, or map sensor location. The large can does a lot to make the manifold a PITA to install and remove.

  • Runner length - same as stock, same diameter as stock, same shape as stock.

no bandwagon here.. all opinions are from first hand experience, the venom got removed because it was too much of a pain in the ass to work with, stocker was put back in its place.

I didn't know that the runner length was the same. I know that the plenum is bigger, and I don't disqualify a part because it is annoying to install.

I don't know, I can't say that it is good or bad, because I haven't seen anybody test one objectively.

Somebody needs to make a good sheetmetal intake mani. <grumble>

I notice no real difference between my old stocker and my OBX.(pre-boost)
It wasn't difficult installing it. The main concern of mine is that the vac ports are totally wrong(easly fixed before installation)and that you have zero room behind it for the IAT sensor and I'm afraid that if my motor flexs back enough it'll break it off! Technically it should be better than the stocker when under boost.(definately should be tested on a dyno to clear this up for good!)Any volunteers
