i replaced my valve cover gasket tonight for the first time since i had this car, when i pulled off the valve cover to me it looked like the head was burnt??? everything was like this orangy red color?? just wondering if this is normal?? and if not what i need to do to fix it and what might have caused it??? the car is a 98rs with 110xxx thanx in advance and i did search.

Yes burn't oil, I washed off what I could while the head was out, then just put it back.

'95 GSX - Big16G ~ Leaks, but atleast it runs.
