well on my car i have the rear o2 bypassed but my front one i am on my 3rd one now.. they work for a while then throw code 21 ( o2 voltage not fluctuating) my car doesnt smoke or anything or burn oil. is there any reason for this?

what brand are you using? if your gettin the bosch ones...thats probably why their dying. other than that...i dunno, you may not be tuned well...could be getting junked up. how do they look?

could be your wirring
the heating element inside the o2 sensor is current hungry device lots of current = corrosion on copper wires corrosion = need more current more current = even more corrosion etc
check you wire play if they will crack under pressure
I have seen and fixed that problem on several neons getting code 21 so far putting a new section of wirring and the problem was gone for good

well there all stock eclipse ones ive used so far. as far as the wires. ive done that already.. its an expensive prob though.. only one i have left after the latest one will be a honda 4 wire.. i dunno if that one will even work. so i hope this dont happen again. it only takes like 2-3 weeks for the code to come back and i can tell cause my air fuel gauge reads funny every time problem starts to come back. they dont even look messed up either. theres a lil black soot but the holes are all open and clear.. about normal.. i dunno.. BTW: when the car warms up alot it will be normal. but its not warming up fast like it should . seems almost like the heater element isnt working right every time.

Here's our wiring harness:
White-Black = Signal Black-Green = Signal Ground Black-Red = Heater Power Black = Heater Ground
If it was hooked up wrong, it will smoke it, I know, I did it. I went through several o2 sensors before I tested the wiring harness for myself.
The o2 should have 4 wires. Typically, there are 3 different colors (2 wires share the same color). If you have two wires on the o2 that are the same, then that's the heater for the o2 sensor and it doesn't matter which one goes to the heater wires in the wiring harness. The other two are for the signal. If you hook those two up backwards, it can smoke the o2 sensor as well.
To test it, you can uplug the o2 sensor so that it's in the exhaust, but not plugged into the wiring harness. Start the car and use a volt meter to test the wires. Test the two wires that don't match (blue/black and/or gray). If you hook it up and see it fluctuating voltage under 1v, then the positive lead from the meter is your signal wire and needs to go to the White-Black wire in the harness and the other wire needs to go to the Black-Green wire in the harness. If you get negative volts, then swap the positive and negative leads.
If you don't know which wires are which on the o2, hook the positive lead from the meter to one wire and touch the negative to each of the other wires. If you get negative volts, then swap the positive and negative leads from the meter. If you test all the wires and get nothing, your o2 sensor is smoked.
This all needs to be done while the engine is running.

try disconnecting your AF gauge. my car has been acting funny and throwing codes. i know this happened to Uber. we both disconnected the gauge and everythign went back to normal. i just did this today. car would not idle, and would sputter under acceleration. removed the wire, and my problems went away.
