Who has what and what do you think of it?

OEM replacements - $99
universal - $69
Whatever autozone - $99

Mine's dead so i'm looking for a new one.. don't have much money at all to spend, so what do you guys think? had any problems with the cheapo O2 sensors out there? Bosch, etc?

I heard OEM are the best. I got a Bosch downstream o2 and the wire was too short...I would stick with oem...

Bit the bullet, paid the piper and bought the $70 universal sensor. Got under the car and looked and apparently and original O2 sensor got whacked by something, because it was bent about 10* off center. Good reason for it to not be working, eh? I just spliced the 4 wires in, they're the same color on both sensors, screwed the thing in and reset the ECU..

OMG, i can't wait to have this sucker broken in.. I didn't even take it above 3500 RPM or 1/2 throttle, and this mother just feels FAST!

What kind are you using? Is it the Bosch one? How did you splice the wires? Did you solder, or?? I need to get a downstream o2...haven't had one for over a year. Also, I just found out MS Recycling has used ones for 35 bucks...you think it's safe to use a used one??

LAST EDITED ON 19-Oct-01 AT 04:57 AM (PST)

I'd probably get a used one...since after all most of those would probably still be good, considering they came from totalled cars that were still low mileage possibly......
