If anyone remembers my problems (the car wouldn't start, but had fuel spark and no CEL), I got it to start the other weekend. There were two independent issues. The not running part was a bad cam sensor. The other issues with it bogging, hunting during idle, and an extra noise was one of the spark plug wires arcing. So it all seems good right now.
