I have a 97GS, custom turbocharged using the Hahn Super16g @ 7psi. First off, the car runs fine. I still get good gas mileage and general driving doesnt yet seem to be fine. A couple of days ago I was driving around, decelerating in 4th gear, when I heard something pop. Now, at random times, the car seems to be going through about a quart of oil a day. I get the low oil light turning on and off at random times. Wierd thing is that at idle, the car is still seeing 17-20 In.Hg. It seems to be pouring (and I mean pouring... there is usually a huge trail behind my car) oil out of the valve cover breather hose, and the PCV valve also seems to be coated in oil. I havent done a compression check, and everything about this is telling me that I have a blown headgasket or something of that nature. But again, this does not happen all the time. Also, looking under the car there is smoke coming from somewhere between the tranny and the block, towards the front of the block. Oh yeah, the coolant in the overflow tank is still green.
Also, I just checked the intake piping. There is lots of oil in the intake pipe, some on the compressor housing/compressor wheel, a good amount in the lower IC pipes, but none in the upper IC pipes. Could this be a turbo problem perhaps? Anyone have any ideas? NeoVB 2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS TURBO 1995 Mitsubishi Galant ES DOHC TURBO 1991 Eagle Talon TSI AWD
