ok i was drivin to my friends house in my rs non-turbo. my shit says check engine. so i pull into his apartments within 2 minutes of the notcie of the check engine light. i turn off my car and BOOM! radiator hose exploded. no big deal right. i got buy a new one at Kragen. install it. but more coolant in. start her up. wam like new. i start drivin home. bout 2 minutes from my house it dies on me while im doin 60mph. i put the clutch in try to start it. it takes bout 10 seconds and a lot of slowing down and bam it starts. i get home park it. steam is shooting out of my lil coolant box. ok. not good. i wake up at 8 drive it to work. runs great! go on my lunch break. come back. about a minute away from my work it dies on the road this time im doin bout 45. start it up. drive to work. park it get out. replace the fuck i cant think of what its called and i know what it is. um well the thing that once my car heats to 195 degrees it opens and allows the coolant to flow into the engine. anyway. try to start it up. nothin. again this time i tap the throttle a few time. nothin. come back 10 minutes later try again. reeks of gas so i figure i flooded it. no biggie let it sit for bout 20 min. try again nothin. the engine jumped and almost started about 50 times. but still no success. so my cars sitting in front of my work right now. does anybody think they know what it could be? cause im clueless.
see what driving 125mph all over hell and back will get ya...

You are somebody special Tim, you matter! - from the admins (but nobody likes you, because your username is just like that other guy's, and you whine a lot)
you must have overheated it, to build up enough pressure in the system to blow the radiator hose off would take a good deal of heat, if the hose was on correctly. If that was the case, you've probably blown the head gasket, so like ^^ said, check cylinder compression.

A Thermostat is exactly what i replaced im an idiot. i just was drawing a blank. my car said that the engine was about as cold as it could get. cause my thermostat was obviously broken. we dropped it in boiling water to see if it would even open up and it wouldn't. so the thermostat was broken and i had no idea that the engine was overheating. ok so you guys say do a compression test? where could i get that done at? any normal local shop? or like kragen or auto zone? and also if it is just a head gasket how long do those take to replace cause i do alm,ost all the work on that peice of shit myself.
could it be the little ECM in the distributor? cause if thats not gettin power to it couldnt that cause it to not start? like if i got coolant into it from when the hose exploded.
and to all those people who remember the way i USED to drive... Fuck Off. this is a place for help and all you guys do is nag me instead of helping. and by the way when i got that ticket for speeding i was only doing 90 no 125. so learn before you speak. assholes.
to the rest that actually tried to help....Thank You Very Much! I appriciate it so much

We don't have a distributor. If it got hot and has a blown HG, it could be to the point where it won't run. Do a compression test and you'll know where to go from there.
**EDIT** Yes, any local shop should be able to do it. It's pretty easy to do yourself if you have the gauge and plug to do it with.
