Sup guys
I want to see if any of you know any good reputation machine shop in New York State.
I live around middle of NY state (Mid hudson valley) (dutchess county) so machine shop that is closer is good.
I kinda don't trust NYC area, coz New York City people are tricky sometimes for auto replairs places....

Coz I am worrying they will mess up stuff like my new internals, or the block or the assembly.

Gil how long did it take you to get your engine kit? Just curious, I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago. I tried to get some info from howell (time line) but they shot me down on thier forums.

LOL...still waiting man.
But I want to get some heads up on what are some of the good places for machine work and rebuild bottom end!

I let you guys know when I recieved the parts from Howell.

I'd look up your yellow pages or some kind of directory in your area and start calling shops and pinpointing one that you think is reputable and can do the job for you. I'd look for one that specializes in 4cyl applications or atleast has worked on enough of them to do the job.

Talk to Mike RS-T, he lives in Hudson Falls and owns his own shop and does a lot of Eclipse work (420a and 4g63)

Yea, I looked up in the yellow page before, but it's hard to say they are GOOD shop or not, coz ... it's just hard to tell. only experience can tell, so that's why I asked if someone rebuilt before around this area!

I will definitely give Mike a call.
Does anyone else has input?

I'd also check out NYDSM or CNNMotorsports or whatever and search their forums for any discussion on machine shops in NY. See if any local DSMers have had any luck (or horror stories) about any shops out your way. That's how I found Daisy's Standard Machine here.
