heres my problem, I get a body kit and put it on and I start overheating. I thought it was cause my front space for the radiator was smaller. Obviously it wasnt so I replaced the thermostat. Then the radiator cap .... then flush the system. I cant figure out what it is. I have no symtoms of overheating aside from my guage and my oil temp guage also hits 220*. I am not leaking coolant or spitting it out threw overflow. I am not burning it. I thought I had a pattern for when it happenes but I dont. It just randomly goes up to about 3/4 max on the guage or or it fluctuates without a real pattern. I am testing out a pattern that it only happens when I spool. The only thing I can thing of is blow HG and water pump. Anyone have any thoughts ? What can I check before I do a leakdown test ?

Make sure that you're fluid is all the way full...what I mean is - if you did recent work on the engine that required you to drain any fluid - then make sure that you fill it all the way back up properly.

Headgasket. Try a leakdown test.

Do you have a datalogger? Check to see what the ECU thinks is going on. The main coolant tempature sensor which is the 2 wire one higher up on the thermostat housing which tells the ECU what the exact tempature is. There is a smaller sensor below it which is a shitty 1 wire sensor that makes the needle on the dash go up and down.

Might be getting air trapped in the cooling system from a blow headgasket easy way to tell is have the coolant full start up the car with the cap off and let it run if the coolant bubles then you have a blow headgasket.
fully built, gt70 turbo, and F.A.S.T standalone what more do i need to say
