Has anybody ever taken the time to measure the bolt, after its trimmed? Im just curious what the measurement is from the tip to the bottom of the head.

If you would of posted this yesterday i would of measured it. I only trimmed about a 1/4 of an inch.

Visual guesstimation. Go measure a 1/4 inch, and compare it to 2-3 threads of a head bolt. Should be damm close.

Why dont you measure the depth of the hole you're putting the bolt into, then subtract like 1/4" to allow for bolt stretch?
