Hey wuts up everyone. I'm Andrew and I own a 98 Eclipse RS. I just got done putting in a new motor with one of my friends who is a regular on this site. Been having some problems with the motor and such and need some advice. I have obviously the 420a engine. All forged internals and some mild head work. For some reason the head is leaking oil all over the pistons and I am burning coolant. I had big plans for a sick super 20g turbo setup and such, but things aren't going too good. I'm thinking about going with a 2.2 stroker motor with a sick nitrous setup. What do you guys know about this motor/setup? I was told that high compression motors (12.5:1) are hell to tune up right. I have been without my car for about a month now and running out of ideas. Please help. Thanks.

Was it doing that from the start? If it was, it could possible be that the head gasket was put on wrong.

hg was put on right.

Have you done a compression test? Do all the cylinders have oil/coolant in them? I would lean towards the head gasket. Did you use a MLS one or some crappy off name?
