Anything is possible my french friend. It just a matter of how much time and money you want to spend. But it's not a direct swap. 2GNT don't really have a direct swap engine availible. The Chrysler 2.4L I4 is the closetest thing, and even that requires considerable fabraction and alterations.

Put a turbo kit on it, more power and cheaper in the end.

It's possible. It may not even be that difficult. The Dodge Avenger (if it's sold in Europe) had a V6 engine option. it uses a 2.5L 6gXX motor that is related to the 6g72. The swap has been done many times on the V6 Avenger / Sebring twins, and since those cars share the 420A platform (in their 4 cylinder models) with the Eclipse / Talon, it may work. I don't know.

However, if you have a European sourced Eclipse, you don't have the same powerplant that we do. You have a high compression, non-turbo 4g63 Mitsubishi motor, the same motor used in North America's turbo DSM cars. if this is the case, my suggestion to you would be to turbo THAT, as the 4g63 is a very potent motor.

okay..
I thank you all..

On my french forum , www.jpcar.net , the guy who talk to me about forums 2gnt have got a GS with the 420A..
He said to me that he can fit a turbo on his 420A and that I can't fit a turbo kit on my 4g63 because it's not the US GS model but the européan GS model..

Do I have to "get my engine more strong" ?(I don't know how I can say that ...)

Do I have to buy forged pistons and forged crank and rods?

Or just buy a a factory used turbo with intake and exhauste manifold and 4g63T ecu and maybe interccoler system?

This is my car:

And the engine is like this :If it can help you to answer to me..

Great thanks at all..Your jhelp is precious !!

This is what I found while searching the 1g/4g63 section we have here. Posted by Jeff 99gs:

(this is for the N/T 4g63 to a turbo 4g63)
You will need:

exhaust manifold
turbo
oil pan
all new oil lines and coolant lines for the turbo
oil drain pipe for the turbo to the oil pan
turbo ECU
possibly certain parts of the turbo car wiring harness
knock sensor
turbo cams (maybe)
new intake pipe
new MAS
air can
intercooler
intercooler piping (both lower and upper)
new exhaust (downpipe being the most important part)
all gaskets, o-rings, copper washers, bolts, nuts, etc

You will need a wastegate that can make the turbo run less than 10psi seeing as the pistons in the non-turbo block are higher compression and are not the same material as the turbo pistons. This screws up everything having to do with timing and the turbo ECU all together.

It will be Much, much easier to install a whole turbo 4G63 engine rather than bolting on parts. You will be limited to 8-10psi with a turbo on your stock block. It will end up being cheaper to drop in a 6 bolt 4G63t too.

He said something like this lol:

Greetings of the dear Quebec french-speaking collegue I believe connaitre the type that has the eclipse 420A in france his automobile etait has the origin for a GI americain that next sold it instead of the ramenner to the USA

Your eclipse is the 2G europeen with the 4g63 atmospherique, noticeably the meme motor that the 1G atmospherique to the USA (1989-1994)

While install a 4g63 turbo in a model north americain is a true nightmare since all east different under the cover has to leave orientation of the motor until the small last end of sons this would not be the case for your automobile

in the strict minimum ca would take you a motor 4g63 complete turbo, the harness of cablage and the computer for the remainder you can take a bigger pump has gasoline of the brand Walbro if you do not find any pump of 2G turbo, the intercooler (is this than this word is uses in france??? to the quebec one uses it in francais as in English) you can do you memeyour gouts the transmission of your car would have etre rather
solid for 100 Hp of more

brief a beautiful conversion project turbo that has more luck of reussir in Europe than in amerique

Why do you say Europe has more success than America for a turbo setup?

this is not exactly what I said

I was talking in relation to a swap for the 4g63t not boosting a 420a

in europe , 2gnt cars like the one he has come with the 4g63 non turbo and not the 420a, swapping to a 4g63 turbo should be way much easier than going from 420a to 4g63T

that's what I was stating in french, that he should have higher chance of succes to do a conversion to a turbo engine than over here
because he doesn't start with the same car as we do

Ok, I wasn't for sure if you were talking about putting a turbo on the NT 4g63 easier or just swapping the 4g63t into the 2g easier. Of course, it would be the same thing to do with a NT 1g.
