#86929, "Stock GS-T Midpipe Doesn't Fit?"

I bought the full stock gst catback from RRE the other day for $30 and I put the midpipe (from cat to muff) next to the stock RS exhaust and it doesn't have the same bends AT ALL. I thought that the full catback fit on our cars too. So I guess my question is does the stock gst midpipe work on our cars cuz the routing/hangers would have to be different, right?

Note: Don't post if all you're going to say is search. I searched for awhile and didn't find shit except "ohhhh well i think they're suppose to bolt right up".

unless you NEED to replace your mid pipe, dont worry about it. IIRC the piping diameter is the same on RS/GS and GST alike anyways. most people just get the axle back muffler section and bolt onto our stock exhaust.

it is a write up on how to do the swap
from what it says
the gst should bolt right up using the same hangars

I took some pics of the exhaust, can anyone confirm that this is a 2gst exhaust? I also did some measurements on the pipe diameters.

GS-T pipe diameter

RS pipe diameter

The midpipe

I don't know what the hell you bought, but that does not look like the exhaust for the GST. maybe GSX?

GST catback should bolt right up stock for stock...

Thats a GSX exhaust.

The GST midpipe is identical in every way to a 2gnt midpipe except there is an extra 4" resonator you dont need or want.

Just put the GST/GSX muffler on and call it a day.
