#86599, "Cutting off Problems."

A while back I had some problems with my car cutting off every now and then. Well my ECU crapped out on me so I thought that was the problem cause when I replaced it the problem stopped for a day or two, but now I think that was just luck. Now my problems are about the same except my check engine light will come on and after a while the car will shut off and when I restart it the CEL is gone. I have had the CEL checked but it said the fuel mixture was lean. I don't know if the two problems are related but I need to get these two things fixed. If you have any insight on what these things could be please help. I'm sorry for the choppy story but I am in a hurry cause I am going to be late for work.

I am parting out my 95 RS!!!

That thing is not going anywhere cause it used to fall off and now I got it zip-tied up there. Do you think if this thing was going out it would cause some of my problems though.

Check the prongs inside of the cam sensor plug. It should slip on and stay there. If one of the prongs are bent down then its extremely hard to get it to stay on. Also cel doesn't like that too much either. If that is the case jus get a pair of needle nose and straighten it out. I just replied this same thing to someone else, i think yall have the same general problem. sounds simple but its worth a shot.

The fact that your saying your getting a lean mixture code and a stuttering engine makes me think it might be fuel related. How ae your injectors? flowing ok?

I haven't been able to pull my injectors to find out. I do use a treatment every month or so to keep them clean. How would I get my injectors tested becuase I have a P&P intake mani waiting to go on so I guess while I am in that project I can get my injectors flow tested and cleaned. I am about to go check the cam sensor also.
